The U.S. Housing Recovery: Lessons from Florida

The American Action Forum will host a panel discussion in Orlando on the devastating downturn of the housing market and painful recovery currently facing our nation. Florida’s housing markets and greater economy have been among the hardest hit. Despite having some of the highest foreclosure rates in the country, Florida is beginning to see some improvement. What can Florida’s story teach us? Will the housing market recovery be a priority after the election?

Join us for a complimentary breakfast as we hear from Senator Mel Martinez, former Florida Senator and HUD Secretary, and an exciting group of experts including Douglas Holtz-Eakin, former Director of the Congressional Budget Office; Dean Asher, President-Elect of the Florida Association of Realtors; Paul “Buz” C.
